automatic drawing

i often like to create these pages of automatic drawings. it is a meditative process that allows the pen to flow without restriction, analyzing, or mind getting involved. the free movement releases attachment to the outcome, often creating something more intriguing and expressive than conscious thought would allow. this one i used as a sort of 'warm up', to simply make something and initiate creativity before starting a painting that i did afterwards. i have many more of these, they are so much fun!
